Whole Cleaned Rainbow Trout is native to northern Mexico to southern Alaska west of the Rocky Mountains. Rainbow trout prefer clean, cool, and quality water. Sometimes trout migrate to the sea, where they spend several years of their life. Rainbow trout have long been known for their spectacular jumps and runs when caught by sport anglers in the fast, cool whitewater river. This fish always fights well when caught. Rainbow trout are easily recognized by the broad reddish stripe, or rainbow, that runs from the sides of the head to the tail.
